How to care for our products?
Leather is a natural material that, with proper care, will retain its beauty and functionality for many years. Regular maintenance is therefore essential.

For treatment, we recommend using products tailored to your specific leather type, such as high-quality beeswax, impregnation spray, or special creams. These products help keep the leather supple, protect it from moisture, and extend its life.

1. Smooth leather

  • Cleaning: Regularly remove dirt with a soft damp cloth. For deep cleaning, use special leather cleaning products.
  • Treatment: Apply conditioner or balsam to the skin to keep it supple and protect it from cracking.
  • Impregnation: Use a wax-based impregnation spray to protect against moisture and stains.

2. Suede and nubuck

  • Cleaning: Remove dirt using a special suede eraser or a soft brush. Avoid water, which can damage the material.
  • Treatment: Use products designed for suede or nubuck, which restore the appearance and provide protection against moisture.
  • Impregnation: Apply an impregnation spray designed for suede to protect the material from water and grease.

3. Patent leather

  • Cleaning: Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the glossy surface.
  • Treatment: Use special polishing products for lacquered leather, which will enhance the shine and protect the surface from cracking.
  • Impregnation: Not necessary, as the lacquered surface is naturally moisture resistant.

4. Waxed or oiled leather

  • Cleaning: Remove dirt with a damp cloth or soft brush.
  • Treatment: Use natural beeswax or oil-based products that restore the surface finish and protect the leather from drying out.
  • Impregnation: Products for oiled leather usually also offer protection against water.

5. Very delicate leathers (e.g., lambskin or goatskin)

  • Cleaning: Clean carefully with a soft damp cloth and use gentle products designed for sensitive leather.
  • Treatment: Apply light conditioners that soften the material without weighing it down.
  • Impregnation: We recommend impregnation that does not affect the softness of the material – ideally spray-based.

General tips for leather care

  • Protect leather from prolonged exposure to water, extreme heat, or direct sunlight.
  • Store leather products in a dry and well-ventilated place.
  • Renew protection regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions for the product.
  • Dry and air out. Don't put your shoes away in the shoe rack immediately after returning from a trip. If they get wet, for example, it is important to let them dry thoroughly. You can also use newspaper to stuff the shoes so that they absorb moisture.

WARNING! Leather does not belong in the washing machine. The leather used to make our products would not survive the washing machine.
