How to correctly measure your foot for custom-made shoes
Video description
- Stand on the paper and distribute your weight evenly between both feet.
- Trace the outline of your foot perpendicular to the floor. Mark the space between your big toe and index toe, and try to trace the big toe as accurately as possible.
- Measure the circumference of your finger joints and mark the spot on the outline where you took the measurement (measure at the widest point). Write down the measurement.
- Do the same for the instep circumference—mark exactly where you took the measurement and write down the value.
- Next is the heel circumference. You don’t need to mark where you measured from and to; just write down the measurement.
- Measure the length of your foot at its longest point. Draw a line and write the measurement next to it.
- It is also important to measure the width of the foot. Please measure at the widest point around the finger joints.
- Add the height of the thumb to the sketch.
- Please also include a photo of your foot. It is important to take a photo from above and from both sides so that the width of the foot and the height of the instep are visible. When taking the photo, distribute your weight evenly between both feet.
- Please sign the sketch, scan it, and send it as an attachment in your reply to the order email (info@jenonleather.cz).
